State Capitol in Raleigh, North Carolina

History and architecture combined, a visit to a state capitol building is always an enjoyable experience. The State Capitol in Raleigh is a magnificent Greek Revival building that was completed in 1840.

Walking around the grounds you can learn that North Carolina produced three presidents that are proudly memorialized, Polk, Jackson, and Johnson.
