Everyone seems to know this fact, because at peak hours the place is packed! You may end up waiting an hour to eat here because there are no reservations. Try coming at an off time to avoid that, because the food is worth it. For starters you’ll get some complimentary cornbread muffins to much on.
The local caught clam chowder is a must, creamy and flavorful, but gone way too fast (order the bowl!).
A blackened fresh catch fish sandwich was hot and flakey, the tangy accompanying aioli gives it a real zing. You should definitely upgrade your side to zucchini fries, they were a unique addition cooked to perfection.
I am always in for fish tacos, and these had fresh meat and a wonderfully bright salsa. Great food in a casual atmosphere, you can’t go wrong ordering fresh fish here on the coast!

Hey neighbors!
Just stumbled upon Julie’s post about Fish Bites in Wilmington, and now I’m craving some local seafood.
The clam chowder she raves about sounds like a must-try, but I’m curious, what’s your favorite dish there?
Thinking of giving it a shot this weekend, but wanna make sure I’m not missing out on any hidden gems. And those zucchini fries sound intriguing!
Have you guys tried them? Let me know your thoughts!
Ooo that looks so good! Fish tacos sound epic!
