I’m always screaming for ice cream this summer, all over the place. The foodnetwork is my guilty pleasure. Whenever I have access to cable television I can watch it all night! Bobby Flay is my guy, and I love watching his throwdown show. So this summer on a hot day after some great hiking I went to try the sundae that beat Bobby Flay at The Ice Cream Man [417 NY-29, Greenwich, NY 12834].
Last year I went to the other location in Saratoga for just a simple scoop, the two have a totally different feel! The line was long, every time I pass this place they have a line.
We ordered the throwdown sundae and oh boy, it was tasty. We sat down on the deck with our legs dangling and dove in. Your choice of ice cream with homemade warm apple topping and ‘the works,’ real whipped cream, gourmet nuts and a cherry.
The cold ice cream was ever so slowly melting from the hot apple topping, the whipped cream was endlessly airy…oh what a combo! If you are a foodnetwork fan…or just looking for a yummy treat, check the spot out!
