Long Island Eats: Claws

We proclaimed, “This was the summer of Claws,” and what a fine summer it has been. With all the brilliant sunshiney weather there was, I never wanted to be inside. Claws [20 Main St West Sayville, NY 11796] was the perfect spot to sit outside, canal-side, and eat delicious fresh seafood.

Sometimes there is live music. The service can be a little spotty on occasion, but enjoy the atmosphere while you’re waiting. Each time I visited this summer, and that was too many to count, I tried something new, always to my liking. We got some yummy baked clams to split as an appetizer.
