Diversified modes of media creatively transport you back to a time of cruel regimes and walk you room by room through the years of terror. The Museum of Terror [1062 Budapest, Andrássy út 60] begins during the Nazi regime and runs through the immediately following Communist regime in Hungary.
With harrowing videos of personal accounts, authentic artifacts, and the use of colors and lighting history unfolds in a very real and meaningful way.
In each room there are sheets of literature to further your understanding of these events. You end your journey with a beautiful tribute to the victims, and you may walk up a passageway to view a collection of statues from the time period.
You will leave with a greater sense of understanding for the time period and the people of the country.
