Today’s hike was at Kitchawan Preserve in Ossining, Westchester. This preserve has many options: you can hike the four miles of trails within the preserve, you can take the 6.5 mile trail from the Kitchawan Preserve to the Teatown – Kitchawan Trail which will land you at nearby Teatown Lake Reservation, or you can mix and match the hiking to your liking. We chose to stay in the preserve, as it was our first time there. There were many different loops to see with different types of flora. I particularly loved seeing perfectly beautiful pink trees scattered about,
and listening to the melodic waters of the brook in the sunshine.
