The National Ornamental Metal Museum, colloquially called the Metal Museum is a hidden gem in Memphis.
Detached form downtown it shakes the street traffic and the atmosphere was calm during my visit. A smithy and foundry are on site along with many artistic metalworks.
Outside there is a sculpture garden with unique contemporary designs, free to visit.
Check the events calendar for museums workshops, interactive classes include a chance to forge copper bracelets and design art tiles. The museum has an incredible location overlooking the Mississippi River.
Good to know:
+Admission to inside exhibit is currently $6
