Beaman Park, Nashville Tennessee

If you’re the type that enjoys peace and quiet on the trails, Beaman Park is a top choice.

Although the park is only 15 minutes from downtown, it feels like a different world. Once you pass the creek, you probably won’t see anyone at all.

This area is ripe for exploring, filled with tiny waterfalls and even tinier fish. There are five miles of primitive trails, some raise steeply above the creek and others meander farther into the woods. In spring the preserve is a wildflower destination with a multitude of vibrant blossoms.

Not just for the pleasure of the people passing by, but a resting place for different insects.

Fresh beautiful mushrooms sprout indicating the fertility of the land.

Check in the visitors center for programs ranging from education about migratory birds to making origami birds, take a guided night hike or a wildflower hike. There are multiple trailheads with free and easy parking.
