Tucked away on a side street off of the main drag in downtown Nashville, I discovered my all time favorite bar. There are so many reasons I went back to Headquarters Beercade every night of my stay in Music City, even though there wasn’t a live band up on stage.
I adored the look of the place. Neon quotes in script, edgy art, and Prince painted in purple watching out over the crowds up people.
It’s trendy and aesthetically pleasing, but the vibe is completely comfortable. You can grab killer cocktails or choose from 12 craft beers on tap. Most of all, I couldn’t believe that the mint collection of pinball machines were free to play, all night, every night.
Most bars and arcades will charge up to $1.50 for just a single game, and if you’re novice or having an off night, it can end very quickly…adding up to become an expensive hobby. It is very generous of this bar to provide such a gift for its patrons. For those who aren’t obsessed with pinball, there are freeplay vintage arcade games as well. So the hunt for parking in downtown is totally worth it to grab a drink at this hip space and get your game on.
