On our last night in Bangkok my sister in law who is from the city picked the fanciest restaurant we experienced in the country. Bua Restaurant in the Silom neighborhood was fantastic.
The restaurant was comfortably cool from the air conditioning, clean, bright, waitstaff was efficient, and most importantly – food was delicious. Plus there was plenty of it! With my brother, sister, mom, Jeff, and I we ordered a few dishes and went family style. Peanut is a staple ingredient in thai cuisine and I realized I hadn’t had any dishes with it during my stay. Thankfully, the extensive menu delivers and you can find almost anything you could desire on it. Ground peanut-coconut cream curry chicken was out of this world flavorful and absolutely fulfilled my peanut craving.
My brother said that glass noodles were a must, and buried beneath them was a treasure trove of prawns and veggies.
Lastly, I had to have some more crab because Thais work wonder with the meat and this curried crab did not disappoint.
It was wonderfully fresh, generous, and scrumptious. Indeed this restaurant was more expensive than other dining venues, but it was a comfortable setting with very solid food – any thai classics you could hope for.
Catching up here, a quick glance over your current trip reveals a year’s worth of food! Great reporting. Thanks for the recent like.
