Though Isabela was my favorite island to visit in the Galapagos, it was my least favorite island to dine on. The exception to the rule: Maestro de Casa Restaurant – the only restaurant that pulled through for a thoroughly lovely dinner. On the edge of the main street closer to the docks, dim and open air – equipped with a ping pong table.
For an appetizer, try a unique take on papa rellena, stuffed with fresh fish and veggies.
So fresh, crisp, and clean. As a main try anything with shrimp – they were cooked perfectly and the rice dish was chock full of veggies.
The menu is extensive and you are sure to find something to satisfy your craving. Out of all of the recommended places online, and by locals, Maestro’s was the best of the best.
