This isn’t anything like the traditional bread we ate all over the countryside in Peru, but man was it ever delicious. El Pan De La Chola is the closest thing to hipster you will find in the country outside of Barranco.
The décor is clean and minimalistic, chalkboards and succulents, the inside filled with the yuppies of Miraflores, because – look at this beautiful bread.
It was perfect for a hearty breakfast or lunch, a simple sandwich with tomato, pesto, and cheese on thick, porous, doughy, buttery, crunchy bread with beautiful grill marks.
There are healthier options including yogurt and juices, and the coffee is superb.
