I have been to Schoharie County plenty of times, but somehow always missed visiting the town of Middleburgh! Thank goodness that was remedied recently, because it’s an awfully adorable little town. When you turn off Route 30 and head onto Main St, you’ll ooh and ahh if you’re anything like me. I had to walk up and down the little strip, which only takes about five minutes, to look in every window and appreciate every detail.
I found a few neat mosaics on the buildings, it looked like there were some great restaurants (next time!), and I caught some cotton candy clouds as the sun went down. How is the night life, you might ask? Welp, it’s got quite the bustling little brewery, so definitely more hopping than the town I grew up in! Green Wolf Brewing Company [315 Main St, Middleburgh, NY 12122] is the place to go in Middleburgh after the sun goes down, visitors and townies alike.
The open space is friendly and inviting, like the people inside. A large chalkboard has the beer menu, so take your time and decide what you want. You can taste a flight, each little drink ranges from $1.50 to $2.50 no set deal, so you get to pick how many you want to try.
There are other local libations for sale, such as Nine Pin, and non-alcoholic ginger ale if you’re not drinking. Grab some popcorn to snack on and sit down at the bar or one of the big tables. Check out the game shelf or relax and enjoy some live music (on certain nights).
The beer, atmosphere, and service are great! If you’re looking for a place to hang out and relax with a beer in Schoharie County, you’ll find an all around good time at Green Wolf.
I love a good brewery! This place looks great 🙂 !
