A café with a spiritual side, go in for a tea leaf and tarot card reading, or simply for a scrumptious sandwich. The Enchanted Café [7484 S Broadway Red Hook, New York] in Red Hook has got a different vibe.
Cozy as life should be in Red Hook, but with a healthy dash of mystique, and also doubles as an eclectic art gallery.
It’s a very multifaceted little joint. If you visit on the right evening, the café offers all sorts of events ranging from movies, the arts, and psychic related topics, which could be interesting. On a cold day I wanted a hot drink, the froth level on the chai was otherworldly.
Hungry after hiking on an off-hour, yet still intending to make dinner when we got home, Jeff and I split a sandwich. We were able to decide on the three cheese pulled chicken Panini which came with a heaping side of gluten free chips.
It was a great big sandwich, perfect for splitting. The chicken was tender and so flavorful, simple, tasty, goodness. Just what we needed. There were lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, we ended up grabbing some delightful vegan baked goodies to go. The café thoroughly relaxed, satisfied, and enchanted us!
