Growing up with a big brother meant many hours playing video games in the house, and taking frequent trips to the arcade. Nowadays I don’t have any video games in the apartment, and most arcades don’t have any of my old favorites. You can imagine my surprise when I found out that New Hampshire has the biggest arcade in the world, which includes the American Classic Arcade Museum [579 Endicott Street North, Laconia, NH 03246] where you can play all of the old machines!
Exchange your dollars for tokens and begin the fun.
I felt like a kid again running around the aisles of this huge arcade trying to decide what to play first. There were whole areas filled with different pac-man, Nintendo, and pinball machines – just to name a few.
Jeff found the largest pinball machine in the world and played the silver ball like a wizard.
He also killed it in duck hunt, I can see he practiced as a child as well.
There were so many people having a great time on a rainy day, keeping these games and memories alive. Not only were there classic games, but the whole complex here is called Funspot, which includes bowling, mini-golf, bingo, and a kiddie room with rides.
You could certainly spend a whole day here at the arcade, just like you used to as a kid.
