Croatian Eats: Topolino

Eating the freshest fish beside the water which it just came from, could life be any better?

IMG_6659Topolino [Riva 2, Bol, Brac Island 21420 , Croatia] in the town of Bol on the island of Brac was a perfect moment in time. We had spent a lovely day on the island and as we were walking from the beach we stopped to chat with a vendor. We asked her opinion on where to eat in town and she said everywhere is good. With a vague answer I wasn’t sure what to expect. She may have been telling the truth, or we may have gotten lucky with our choice. The restaurant is a pizzeria with a wood fired oven. There are many pizza selections, pasta dishes, and of course fresh seafood options on the menu. It was the end of the day so we had a limited amount of time until the last bus left for the other side of the island. We told our waiter this information and he got us our food so quickly! When it came out he taught me the best way to get the meat off of the bone, it was a great skill to learn. My now typical fish dish with potatoes and chard was so wonderfully delicious.
