Ride the Budapest Eye

A ride on the Budapest Eye [1051 Budapest, Erzsébet tér] can give you a whole new angle on the city, this giant Ferris wheel was built by 15 people in 8 days!

IMG_5990Located in Erzsebet Square, right smack in the middle of all the downtown action, you are guaranteed excellent panoramic views when you get to the height of the ride.

IMG_6004It’s a bit pricey at just under $9, but worth it for those who may not be into hiking up hills and would like to see the city from above. You are seated in a large enclosed car and the wheel will rotate three full times. You get particularly interesting views of the nearby St. Stephen’s Basilica.

IMG_5998The ride stays open late, so this would be an amazing and romantic vantage point to see the city lit up at night!
