Went to Cider Belly Doughnuts today and I was impressed, Dunkin better watch out. It was just past the lunch hour and only a few people were buzzing about the place. Fresh donuts were being baked and the joint smelled swell. I asked the guy behind the glass what his favorite donut was and he said maple, so I decided to give it a go.
I walked across the street and sat at a picnic table and oh so enjoyed this donut. It was warm, he had told me they just came out a minute or so ago. The exterior was crispy and inside soft and there was just the right amount of maple glaze. Fresh and delicious.
My friend got a German chocolate donut and had the same reaction as I did, love! They have bags of ‘belly flop’ donuts for $1, donuts that didn’t come out looking so pretty. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m on Pearl St.!
