Had a fun dinner at New World Home Cooking in Woodstock recently. The place gets packed, so definitely make a reservation. They give you a big hunk of thick bread to dip in what I believe was some hummus concoction to hold you over until you get your meal.
We ordered blackened string beans which came with a great mustard sauce, they were delicious but the portion was enough to choke a horse!! Green beans for days!
For my meal I paired some small plates: the Cajun peppered shrimp and local fingerlings with curry mayo, banana ketchup. Yum!
Jeff got bacon wrapped smoked gouda stuffed meatloaf.
Yeah, they went there.
