I will officially say that Scoups is my favorite place to get ice cream in the Capital Region.
They’re located in Loudonville, right next door to The Crossings. This place usually has a decent crowd but lines go fast. I really love their homemade Italian ices and ice cream cookie sandwiches.
Yesterday I tried their chocolate and banana twist frogurt. Yum.
You get a whole lot of ice cream for a reasonable price. You can sit down at the picnic tables and observe the cows (you see cows, you know that ice cream is fresh). You can head over to The Crossings park next door. You can inhale your ice cream while standing walking around the beautiful flowering plants they sell next door, and then get back into your car.
Just go! It’ll be your favorite spot too.
