Breakfast today was at “The Eatery” at Carol’s Place in Troy.
We had never been in before, but the place was packed so we figured they must be doing something right, and their sign said ‘everything homemade’ so we were excited. After our coffees came over the waitress brought us some complimentary apple bread. It didn’t look pretty, but it was warm, moist, and absolutely delicious. It tided us over for the wait till our meal.
I was a bit hangry waiting, but I had my coffee refilled twice, and I have to admit it was worth the wait. My man got “The Hunter” which was 3 Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Ham & 2 Pancakes for $10, it looked like enough food to feed an army. He really loved it. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, it was really, really good. The croissant was fresh and toasted with butter, the sandwich was perfectly balanced, it ranked as one of the best I’ve ever had. We had home fries as well and they were nicely seasoned.
I would recommend eating here because the food was seriously delicious, but if you are coming on a Saturday morning be prepared to wait a bit!
