What Lifts You, Nashville Tennessee

I love the splash of color that murals give a city, a playful twist on a concrete jungle. I’ll marvel to see them by chance, but often times I’ll seek them out wrangling to find an address. In Nashville I had to find those wings everyone was flashing on their instagrams and realized they are a part of a bigger project. Kelsey Montague is a popular street artist internationally and her What Lifts You [302 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203] mural in the trendy Gulch neighborhood is sensational.

It’s 20 feet high and took 60 paint pens to create. What I love most about her work is the interactive flair, the chance to be a part of the mural and make it your own. Want to visit the mural? It’s easy to find an hours work of free parking in nearby lots, and you can combine your visit with brunch at Biscuit Love around the corner!
