Dinner in Schenectady at Persian Bite

I can’t rave about my experience at the Persian Bite in Schenectady enough, it was amazing! We parked in a free lot around the corner (for up to 2 hours) and popped into the little restaurant (96 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY 12305). We were the only ones there on a Thursday evening and felt very comfortable in the cozy corner. I liked the simple yet unique touches of décor. IMG_3222 IMG_3221We started out with some Persian tea, and the lady who brought it to us explained the traditional way to drink it. You put a sugar cube in your mouth, then drink, and let the tea dissolve it. IMG_3217We were quickly served the soup of the day which had a mixture of vegetables and a few noodles, very savory and tasty, perfect on a cold night. IMG_3219We go the Seer Must a creamy yogurt garlic dip and some hot fresh baked bread to dip and it was wonderful. IMG_3218We each got a chicken tikka wrap which was utterly delicious, small but hearty. The wrap bread was the same kind we ordered for the dip, there were some fresh greens inside, and tender pieces of chicken dripping with slightly spicy sauce. IMG_3220We dipped the wraps in our leftover Seer Must, extra yum factor. The food was incredible, the service was fast and friendly, and the bill was almost unbelievable. Only $23 (before tip) for all of that filling and delicious food. After talking to the owner we found out this place has only been open for eight months. I hope people get out there to try one of the best meals I’ve had in a while, and get this place packed as it should be!
