At the base of the iconic Unisphere in Queens premiere park is the eclectic Queens Museum [Flushing Meadows Corona Park Queens, NY 11368].

I fell in love as I walked into the Tiffany lamps exhibit, a collection of some of the most unique and intricate stained glass works I have ever seen.

Did you know that no two lamps are identical? Louis C. Tiffany had a glass furnace in Corona, Queens – it was quite interesting to learn about his history. Another favorite display was the mini model of NYC , which isn’t so small!

Walking around the perimeter and trying to find out just where we are in the museum, and my favorite spots around the city was really fun.

The level of detail is amazing, you’ll even be surprised to see mini planes flying around. Don’t miss a trip upstairs to see World’s Fair relics, two occurred right outside the museum walls in Flushing Corona-Meadows Park.

Perks: Free with student ID/under 18, free parking
