Sawgrass Lake Park, St. Pete’s Florida

If you are looking to get a taste of Florida wildlife in St. Petersburg Sawgrass Lake Park [7400 25th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702] does not disappoint. In the 400 acres of land there are boardwalks, dirt trails, and an observation tower.

The flora is vibrant and lovely.

On one trip I saw so many different kinds of animals! Gopher tortoises,

soft shell turtles,

gators – baby gators,

snakes,

armadillo,

and tons of birds including limpkin and ibis.

There is plenty of parking and this is a free attraction not far from downtown.
