Lunching in Urubamba, Sacred Valley Peru

While I didn’t have time to fully explore the city of Urubamba in the Sacred Valley, I did get to snag a lunch break. Descending into the valley town was a beautiful ride and there was a lot of action compared to the rural villages I had just visited.

I researched a restaurant beforehand and although it was empty 3 Keros delivered a stellar late lunch. At first I thought they were closed, but I quickly checked the hours and they were scheduled to be open, the entrance was around the corner up a flight of stairs. We were in and seated. The restaurant had a lovely décor and vibrant flowers on each of the tables.

The service was friendly and efficient, food was cooked up fresh. I ordered the trout with black butter and capers and it ended up being one of my favorite meals from the trip!

It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the sauce was phenomenal, and the accompanying veggies were yummy too. If you can find the time, this was a real culinary treat. If I can find the time back to town, I would love to discover more gems just like this spot.
