The best thing I ate in SF: Yasukochi’s Sweet Stop

What is the best thing I ate in San Francisco? Without a doubt the coffee crunch cake from Yasukochi’s Sweet Stop [1790 Sutter St, San Francisco, CA 94115].

PRO TIP! Call or stop by to reserve a slice of the cake the day before, you do not want to miss out on this and it will sell out. The bakery itself contains a little grocery store with all sorts of Asian snacks.

Do not be distracted, the bakery counter is all the way to the right. Find your way there. Oh no! Another hurdle. There are so many delectable looking desserts.

Remember, it’s the coffee crunch cake you desire. I really don’t enjoy most coffee flavored things other than the sacred drink itself. This specimen, however, is out of control delicious, blissful, dream-worthy. The cake is moist and fluffy, the cream is sweet – but balanced by the coffee flavor, and the crunch adds a texture like no other.

This is a slice worth traveling for, ranking among the best desserts I have ever eaten! If you eat one thing in San Francisco – get the coffee crunch cake!
