Slides of San Francisco

Looking to get a quick thrill? Try flying down a super steep slide in the hills of San Francisco. The well known Seward Slide [30 Seward St, San Francisco, CA 94114] became my nemesis. The first time I visited was at night, and apparently the park is open only during the day, so I was out of luck.

I visited at least three more times over the course of my stay, always being turned away by a big fat locked gate positioned in the middle of the slide. I’m going to have to move to SF and live next door to check up on this place and get down that epic looking slide! You may have better luck, and I did visit during a rainy time. However, there is another slide in town. Esmeralda Slide Park [Winfield St & Esmeralda Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110] was available to play, even on a rainy day.

There was even a nice basket of cardboard there to keep my bottom dry and help me whoooooosh down even faster.

Ready, set, go!

Nothing like a ride down a slide to get your heart pumping and make you feel like a kid again.
