Rossi Rosticceria Deli, Poughkeepsie Eats

A deli so beloved, the line wraps around like a snake in the narrow corridor. Rossi Rosticceria Deli [45 S Clover St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601] was a packed house, but we happily hopped on line.

What would unfold could only be described as a sandwich of epic proportions. I wouldn’t classify this as a standard deli, more so a ‘gourmet’ deli. They have more than just hard roll or hero options, I went for the focaccia which was fluffy, hearty, goodness. The sandwich would genuinely feed a small family (and turned out to be dinner for the next night too). Tender chicken cutlet, fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo is my go-to. The homemade mayo was above and beyond, the herbs were so flavorful.

Rossi_Poughkeepsie_On a sunny day the tables out on the block were a perfect place to picnic. The meal was so obscenely delicious, I know I will be back next time I’m in Poughkeepsie.
