Hager Farm Market, Shelburne Falls

A perfect little country store with killer sandwiches, Hager Farm Market [1232 Mohawk Trail, Shelburne Falls, MA 01370] is such a great spot for lunch! Not all sandwiches are created equal. The sandwiches here start on homemade bread with fun flavors and consist of quality ingredients. I went with the avocado BLT which was loaded with bacon on some garlic dill bread toasted just right. The sandwich was melty delicious, crunchy crisp, and filled with fresh produce, amazing.

Hager_Farm_Market_5Jeff got the Hager Club which was essentially a turkey BLT with cabot cheddar and dill mayo, on cheddar cracked pepper bread. We were both super pleased with our sammies. There is a lot of maple going on in this little store, we decided to hop on board and split a maple latte for an afternoon buzz – the day ahead was going to be quite busy in town.

Hager_Farm_Market_1It had the ideal level of sweet, just a hint, without being overbearing! In addition to the great sandwich menu, the place really is a market with some interesting local products.

You may also be looking for some dessert after your meal, there is a whole case of tempting bakery items to peruse. This stop isn’t right on the main strip in town, but it’s well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch when traveling around Shelburne Falls!
