Island Naturals Market, Big Island

It’s just a little market and deli franchise on Big Island, but to me a memorable spot with quality items. Island Naturals Market [15 -1870 Akeakamai Loop,, Pāhoa, HI 96778] was perfect for our needs while situated in Pahoa.

DSCN7051Breakfast? Grab it at the hot bar. Lunch? They’ll make it for you fresh at the deli. Snacks? Walk up and down the aisles to find an array of locally sourced goodies. On our first morning we woke up early at breakfast time, but our jetlagged bodies told us it was lunch. So we mixed and matched. We got coffees and pastries at the breakfast station, along with sandwiches from the deli.

Jeff had a tuna sandwich that hit the spot and a sweet flakey apple pastry. We loved munching outside and watching people stream in and out of this hot spot. We loaded up on snacks for the trip, they had a great selection of fresh fruit, juices, anything you’d want, and things you didn’t even know existed!

Great little energy boosters for the day that kept well on the go, naturally sweet and delicious. This was our go-to little local franchise to grab a quick snack, drink, or meal, how I wish we had a place like this on the mainland!
