Berkshires Hike: The Cascade Trail

Driving down the street of a residential area and ‘you’ve reached your destination,’ did you make a mistake? No, you haven’t, and you’re not trespassing – you’ve reached the trailhead to the Cascade Trail [182 Marion Ave, North Adams – parking at the end of the block on the right].

cascades trail north adamsIf a short easy hike while in the Northern Berkshires is just what the doctor prescribed, this is the place for you. The trail is approximately a mile and half round trip on a wide flat dirt path through peaceful woods.

cascades trail north adams 5On my visit it wasn’t too deep, waist high at the base of the falls and quite refreshing on a warm day. I couldn’t image a more ideal little nature walk!
