Long Island Hike: Sunken Forest

A ride on a ferry to a rare forest and a secluded beach? Count me in. Sunken Forest is located on Fire Island, a place where your car cannot go. Park it and hop on the ferry from Sayville towards Sailors Haven [Sayville Ferry Service 41 River Rd, Sayville, NY 11782]. Enjoy the beautiful breezy ride on the bay. Admire the homes and sailboats along the way.
