Croatian Eats: Konoba Trattoria Bajamont

There’s no better way to feel like you’re in old world Europe than to dine in the narrow alleyway of the Diocletian Palace in the restaurant Konoba Trattoria Bajamont [Bajamontijeva 3, Split, Croatia].

IMG_6923Perfectly dense and fluffy sourdough bread was served and I couldn’t help but eat it all.

IMG_6919Our waiter helped me pick a perfect fish. There was just one main bone in the center which was very easy to extract making eating a simple task. The fish was so fresh and delicious, as was the buttery finger licking chard potato mixture.

IMG_6921My friend got a classically beautiful gnocchi in red sauce cooked with skill and chock full of fresh veggies.
