Breakfast in Albany: Dan’s Place Two

The term greasy spoon must have been coined after visiting Dan’s Place Two in Albany [494 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12203 ]. Blink and you might miss it driving up Washington Ave through the Student Ghetto; a tiny little diner nestled between the areas typical slums. Don’t shy away, come in and grab a seat at the counter so you can view the master at work and enjoy the locals.

IMG_4173 This place is packed during the breakfast hours, so many orders are being placed and so much grease is lubricating the heaps of food on the grill. We were hungry and everything looked so good. Breakfast sausage is a must here, so Jeff tried their succulent links.

IMG_4175We each got a fantastic bacon egg and cheese.

IMG_4176We could of stopped there…but we saw blueberry pancakes and had to have some of those too.

IMG_4177Everything is delicious and coated in the finest grease. The only grease you will find is on the food, the diner itself is very clean. Service is fast and friendly; people are regulars, greeted by name. Next time I want one of the homemade muffins!
