Breakfast at Jack’s Diner

If you’re looking for a breakfast sandwich that’s absolutely delicious, fast, with no frills…you go to Jack’s (547 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12206). The classic dining car is located on Central Ave and has a parking lot, a quick drive from Center Square. IMG_3302We had a late start and got there around 11 on a Sunday morning and the place was pretty quiet. We seated ourselves, put our orders in, and the food came out swiftly. Two bacon egg and cheeses, coffees, and a side of homefries, a standard order. IMG_3303The sandwiches were glued tightly together with cheese, the eggs and bacon cooked perfectly and just the right amount of everything on a comfortable roll. The homefries have a beautiful taste to them and are amazing with a slathering of ketchup. Nothing is greasy. Coffee keeps coming. We were in and out fast, and good thing because every seat was filled by the time we were done dining, and as I looked in from the parking lot I saw our old seat was taken too. Great food, the price is right, and fast service. You just can’t beat that!
